Pebble Designs was approached by Media Meadow to build a new online web platform. The brief was to build a flexible, cost-effective and on-brand solution in order to create promotional materials for staff and supporters.
What were the requirements?
In order for the microsite to be a success the requirement included:
- Simple, intuitive user experience
- Print-ready files
- Downloadable PDFs
- Accounts & permissions
- Scaleability for future expansion of new clients and templates
What we did
Pebble Designs built an online solution from the ground up. Starting with the framework we worked on putting together a scaleable system with logical functions and controls. The client folders and templates were all added with a hierarchy structure. Templates can be built with HTML5 and CSS with little experience needed. Dependent PHP is stored in global folders and loosley based on the MVC principle.
Giving users ownership
One major positive over other competitors is the ability to edit artwork live. No need to generate slow previews; you can edit, add and delete in real time.
Each user is able to select a theme, add an image from a gallery and insert details about their fundraiser. There are simple step-by-step instructions to guide the user seamlessly through the process. Once completed, the user has the option to print in-house or get a quote for it to be printed professionally. The toolkit allows the client to promote a consistent visual identity and brand throughout all events and fundraisers.
